The quintessential human need – to love and be loved. But what exactly does that mean? How do you know you’re in love? Is there a “one size fits all” interpretation?
I found myself thoroughly disappointed when looking up the definition of LOVE in the Merriam Webster dictionary.
love noun \ˈləv\
Simple Definition of love
: a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person
: attraction that includes sexual desire : the strong affection felt by people who have a romantic relationship
: a person you love in a romantic way

I’m not sure what I expected – maybe a road map or checklist – something that a person could follow to find out for sure. I expected it to read more like this:
♥ When your conversation flows like the spring melt in the mountains – when no topic is off limits and you never run out of things to talk about.
♥ When you laugh so hard at the most ridiculous things, that you can’t help but cry.
♥ When that special someone lays claim to the empty real estate in your head and you are consumed.
♥ When you collaborate on projects, celebrate when they’re finished and reap the rewards together.
♥ When something good happens and you can’t wait to share – or when something bad happens and you can’t wait to share.
♥ When the most mundane of chores becomes a special memory because you did it together.
♥ When you sit at opposite ends of the kitchen table, working together, but separately, then hearing a laugh from the joke you just emailed them.
♥ When you share a simple picnic of wine and cheese by the edge of the river then strip down and jump in.
♥ When the very best moments and memories are the ones that cost nothing.
♥ When their fingers dance rhythmically over your skin sending shivers up your spine for no other reason than they need to touch you…repeatedly.
♥ As they stand behind you and you feel the whisper of their breath on your neck as they murmur that you are quite possibly the most beautiful creature on the planet…and you know they mean it because the emotion they exude is palpable.
♥ When you are willing to be so vulnerable that you can reach a depth of intimacy you never knew existed.
So I ask you, do these perfect moments define LOVE? Or maybe the moments are perfect because you are IN LOVE…
